Chilli festival gets hot with Mexican music

In Willington, things are really hotting up this weekend as annual chilli fest is held. Frosts Garden Centre fest is now on 16th August and 17th August (Saturday and Sunday), with a line-up that includes thirty stalls, a free children’s chilli hunt, a chilli sauce making contest and most importantly musical entertainment.
On Saturday, there would be acts from Mariachi Los Charros, a conventional Mexican Mariachi group, and on Sunday Los Musicos would dazzle the audience with their Latin music. Plus Frosts is looking for all amateur chefs to participate in their chilli recipe contest – the search is on for the most okay homemade chilli chutneys, jams, pickles and sauces, to win a scorching £50 prize as well as the honored title of Chilli Recipe Champion for Frosts 2014 at Willington.
The visitors would be able to see and buy more than twenty five verities of chilli plants that includes Trinidad Scorpion, Bhut Jolokia, Morouga Red, Brain Strain, Scotch Bonnet and Cornish Naga, with experts on hand to offer any advice.
Frosts’ managing director James Frost told that the chilli fest started as a small event 5 years ago and now it has become a very pop attraction and it continues to develop every year. This year would be fantastic and they are very confident that it would blow the roof off. People could spend as long as they like soaking up their live music while perusing their vast range of chilli products, and this year they have lots more for children to get involved with.

Jennifer Lopez again teary eyed at the finals of American Idol

Jennifer Lopez is known to get emotional during American Idol show. Well, the final show was no different from JLo’s side, at least. The Bronx-born singer veered from testy to teary as Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene battled it out for the very last time.
Caleb, who is also known as the Rock and Roll Viking, got her pumped-up with his knockout Aerosmith rendition while Johnson, also known as The Wild Card, gave her some goosebumps with Elvis. The creator of the show, Simon Fuller took his place in the audience and selected the 1st track for every participant.
As per the judges Johnson’s strongest gig was with Aerosmith’s hit Dream On – a song selected by Simon Fuller. He is not Steven Tyler but Caleb, just 23, nailed the track like a real pro. Lopez screamed this is what your are supposed to do. Fellow judge Harry Connick Jr. just it but asked Johnson native to hold his ‘power’ all the way through and not just at the end. Keith did not agree with that, asking the South Carolina man that he relished his reserve at the start.
The country singer, who is married to Nicole Kidman, told that he thought the way he arched the whole thing was excellent. Last time Irene sang Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love, she actually made Jennifer Lopez cry and the US pop singer leap onto the stage to give a kiss to her. Tonight JLo said: ‘I saw your soul come through, I got the goosies all over.’
